Beyond work

Beyond the Terminal.

Golf, reading, writing and coding give me space to reset, stay curious and keep building with intention.

Personal pursuits

Four practices that sharpen how I work.

Each interest develops a different part of the same operating mindset: patience, curiosity, clarity and experimentation.

01

Golf

Golf is where I practice patience under pressure: reading the terrain, adjusting for wind and lie, and committing to a decision without overthinking it. It is the same discipline I bring to troubleshooting a system outage: stay calm, assess the variables, take the shot.

Why it matters

Precision, patience, and composure under pressure map directly to incident management and IT problem-solving.

02

Reading

I read across two lanes: technical books that keep my systems thinking sharp, and non-fiction on leadership, strategy, and how organizations actually work. Reading is how I stay a beginner on purpose; it is the fastest way to keep learning after the classroom ends.

Why it matters

A continuous-learning mindset helps me stay current in a fast-moving field.

03

Writing

Writing is how I turn a messy technical problem into something someone else can actually act on, whether that is a support ticket resolution, a piece of documentation, or a set of standard operating procedures. Good writing is good systems thinking made visible.

Why it matters

Clear writing strengthens technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and communication across teams.

04

Coding

Outside production environments, I code for the joy of building: small scripts, automations, and side projects that solve a problem I personally encountered. It is the same instinct that drives the automation and Workato integrations I build at work, with more room to experiment.

Why it matters

Self-directed building reinforces my automation, scripting, and integration practice through experimentation.
